The Senior Awards Program will be held Thursday, May 15th, at 6:00 p.m.
at Hillcrest Baptist Church. All valedictorians and honor seniors MUST
attend practice for the program on Tuesday, May 13th at 9:00 a.m. at
Hillcrest Baptist Church.
The Baseball Banquet for 10-12th grades will be held at the Service
Center on Tuesday, May 20th at 7:00. All players should contact Coach
Gilmer with the number attending by Monday, May 12. Senior players,
dates, and parents are free. 10th & 11th grade players do not pay, but
parents and/or dates are $11.00.
A
cell phone has been turned in to the main office (PC#3). Please come by
to claim it.
Boys Basketball Practice/Tryouts will be Monday, May 19, 9:00-10:30 at
EOCC Gym for all players trying out for the JV and Varsity team.
Tryouts will be Monday-Thursday, May 19-22 from 9:00-10:30 at EOCC. All
players interested need to see Coach Weeden in the gym to get physical
forms and permission forms. All players must be academically eligible
to participate.
Today's Agenda
Attention Students! Today is the deadline for this. Summer employment
opportunities at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL are available
for academically strong students interested in engineering. Ask in
guidance or call Mrs. Pearce at 347-9531.
The French Club picnic has been rescheduled to occur Friday, May 9th, at
lunchtime in Mrs. Thomason’s portable
Miscellaneous
If you have
medications in the health room, please make sure that you come by and
pick them up no later than May 22, 2008. After May 22, they will be
destroyed. If you need medication authorization forms for next year,
please come by and pick those up, as well.
Any student on the
debt list that has not paid class fees or has lost a textbook, needs to
see Mr. Rodgers immediately. Students that remain on the list will not
receive a report card at the end of the year. Any senior who has not
taken care of their debt will not graduate or receive their diploma
until their debt is cleared. If you have any questions, please see Mr.
Rodgers.
Upcoming seniors
interested in participating in summer Grad Lab in order to prepare for
the July Graduation Exam can sign up in the guidance office.
Summer School
registration has begun in Guidance and cost is $140.00. Register today!
ALL STUDENTS:
Yearbooks are on sale now. You may purchase one from Mr. Thompson in
FO113 for $50.00.
Scholarships

Scholarship--one time $500 scholarship. Minimum 3.0 GPA. Must have
proof of
acceptance to a
college or university and demonstrate financial need. Deadline is July
10th.
Clubs
Congratulations to all

Please be sure to see Mrs. Thomason about the further
requirements—especially if you are uncertain what they are.
All government club
members are invited to attend out end of the year gathering. It will be
Tuesday, May 13th at 6:00p.m. at Mrs. Bradley’s house. It will be
cookout-style; you will need to bring a dessert and your own swimsuit
and towel. Signup sheet and directions will be on Mrs. Bradley’s door
(SC101). Any additional information will be posted later.
Seniors
ATTENTION SENIORS: As
soon as you are sure of the college or university you will be attending,
please come by Guidance and complete a FINAL TRANSCRIPT request. This
will provide your final semester and graduation information that is
essential to complete your college application process. Transcripts are
$2.00.

Banquet will be held on May 19, 2008 at 6:30 at the Hillcrest Baptist
Church Fellowship Building.
