AHSAA NFHS SPORTSMANSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT
Dear Parents/Athletes:
 
The Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) is requiring every student-athlete to complete an on-line sportsmanship program entitled the NFHS Sportsmanship Education Program in order to be eligible to compete in athletics. The NFHS Sportsmanship course replaces the previous STAR Sportsmanship. If you have previously taken the STAR sportsmanship course, you DO NOT have to retake the NFHS Sportsmanship course.
 The NFHS Sportsmanship course is a onetime requirement.

Since this is mandatory in order to receive clearance to play, it is essential that this program is completed as soon as possible. 

Below are the steps an athlete must take to complete the Sportsmanship course.  Please follow them completely.

TO ACCESS NFHS SPORTSMANSHIP EDUCATION PROGRAM:
 
  • Register at the top right of the screen
  • Enter email address and choose a password (you may use student email and password assigned by  school)
  • Complete profile information
  • Click Verify Email
  • Once logged in, click order course under Sportsmanship then click order course again at top of page
  • You will go through the order process but there is no cost for the program.
  • Once you complete this process, click dashboard at top right then click my courses on left side.
  • Click begin course
 
COMPLETION OF SPORTSMANSHIP PROGRAM:
Upon finishing the program, print out the Completion Certificate and give it to your coach or athletic director.
