Mrs. Rylee Baxter
Hello Everyone! My name is Rylee Baxter, and this is my fifth year at EHS! I am originally from Anniston, AL, and I graduated high school from The Donoho School. I received my Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Birmingham- Southern College, where I also received an additional Secondary Education Certificate. While at Birmingham-Southern, I played volleyball for four years. The opportunity to be a student-athlete led me to excellent leadership opportunities and the ability to mentor others. These opportunities helped me unveil my love for working with children and young adults.
Why did I become a teacher?Because I have a PASSION for teaching math, serving and mentoring students, and encouraging students to be the best they can be. I am a huge advocate for encouraging students to not only do their best inside of the classroom, but to be a light to others outside of the classroom, as well. In addition to teaching, I am also the 9th grade volleyball coach at EHS. I love building relationships with students and athletes and helping them achieve goals.
I am currently pursuing a Masters in Instructional Leadership through Jacksonville State University. It is my number one life goal to never stop learning and growing. Through the graduate program, I have loved learning more about the educational system as a whole. I hope to instill the love for lifelong learning into my students, as well.
I have previously taught Algebra 1, Algebraic Connections, Algebra 2 & Advanced Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and AP Statistics. This year I will be teaching Pre-Calculus and AP Statistics. I am looking forward to a great school year.
I absolutely love being a part of the Wildcat family! GO CATS!!
