Stan Sauls
Hello and welcome to the Enterprise High School website. My name is Stan Sauls, and I am honored to be the principal at this wonderful school. I began my tenure as the Enterprise High School principal at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. I am originally from Elba, AL. I received a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Education from Troy State University in 1995 and a Master of Science in Instructional Leadership and Administration from Troy University-Dothan in 2010. I am married to Lori Sauls, a second grade teacher at Hillcrest Elementary School. We have four children: Maddie McCarthy-Johnson, Logan McCarthy, Alli Grace McCarthy, and Sophie Sauls.
Enterprise High School was established in 1953. In 2007 an F-4 tornado destroyed the school, tragically taking the lives of eight students. Enterprise State Community College graciously served as home for the EHS students for three years, illustrating the unity and resiliency of the community of Enterprise. In 2010 the new Enterprise High School was established at 1801 Boll Weevil Circle and currently serves roughly 2,100 students and 245 staff members.
The city of Enterprise is a proud military community of Fort Novosel, which serves as the headquarters for U.S. Army Aviation. Due to this, Enterprise High School is a true microcosm of society, with 35% of the student population coming not only from various parts of the nation, but also of the world. Our vision is to develop principled students prepared for life after graduation. We pride ourselves in providing unique and diverse opportunities for our learners and staff members. From rigorous curriculum opportunities, such as advanced placement and dual enrollment courses, to real world experiences through our fourteen career technical education programs, we strive to engage our learners in 21st century skills needed for both local and global success beyond Enterprise High School.
As wildcats, we have established a strong tradition in providing exceptional extracurricular activities including athletics, fine arts, ROTC, and student focused clubs and organizations, which all aspire to support our beloved Enterprise community.
Coupled with the opportunities to excel in academics and participate in award winning extracurricular activities, is an atmosphere of shared Wildcat pride that results in a genuine and welcoming environment. Our focus on engaging instruction, rigorous academic programs, and preparatory efforts for adulthood and good citizenship offer our learners a comprehensive education in a small-town setting where we say, “Welcome home to Enterprise!”
I personally welcome you to our great school, a school where learners are not lost in the crowd, but instead are known by name and individual interests and goals; a school where learners are constantly challenged to grow beyond their current status and reach for greater heights each day; a school where the education of the whole learner is embraced and staff members truly feel called to this mission field; a school constantly reaching for excellence.
If we can be of any service to you, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
GO CATS!
